Andria Lindquist is a boudoir, wedding and familyphotographer from Seattle, USA, and the quote is her answer to the question of what causes her to doubt herself as a photographer. It summarizes who she is and what she believes in, in an very accurate way. Andria is as colorful and gifted as she is inspiring, energetic and passionate.
During her presentation at Way Up North in Stockholm, I learned a lot and got even more inspiration afterwards when I had lunch with her and a bunch of other international photographers.
What Andria strongly believes in, and that really resonates with me, is the experience we offer our clients. There are just far too few photographers who’ll focus on the clients experience.
Sure, you can manage quite fine as a photographer, just by doing the bare minimum – producing nice pictures. But if that’s all you offer, isn’t that a bit sad?
And I don’t mean just from the very beginning of the photoshoot itself – but everything from you sending your first email, to when you’re standing with that beautiful package (containing your pictures) in your hands.
The pictures are absolutely important! Sure! But, they’re just the tip of the iceberg, as Andria said. It’s all that is underneath the surface (that you as a customer usually don’t see before you book) that is equally important.
When you book with me, I want you to feel safe, taken care of and thrilled. I want you to feel special and that I really care about you. And I promise that I care about the pictures just as much as you do. If not even more? The pictures to me are like dear, small puppies that I’ll adopt to you after I’ve given them all the love they deserve in editing.
“What are you going to do for your brand to give your clients an incredible experience from the beginning to the end?” Andria asked, and my answer to that is that:
I will hold your hand, right from the beginning. From your first mail, through the whole process, and all the way until you get exactly what you want into your hands.
I’m here for you – from start to finish! And by the way, the end does not always have to be the end. Most of my clients become either really good friends or at least regular, happy customers for life.
Feel free to make a comment about what you really would like when booking a photographer.
Did I shoot your wedding and you’re really happy I did? Please tell!
Are you thinking about booking me and have a question? Ask!
Do you think I’m wrong? Keep it to yourself;) No, no, only kidding – please speak up!
Because I promise … I really do care about you.
Honor your experience,
Jonas
